What A Day!

I don’t think I can ever forget April 17th 2011. It was the first time in my life I experienced something of the sort. Millions of people, from all walks of life, all around the globe, were united in one faith and one though: the Holy Spirit. I was there, at the roof of the Upper Room, where bishops and pastors prayed and blessed the world through a computer screen. Such a unique moment in my life, being part of an amazing event in the lives of so many people all over the world. If we were happy to witness all that, imagine God! Soldiers and tourists walked on by, looked at us strangely, and some even laughed at us. We couldn’t care less. The sun was extremely hot in our heads, there was hardly any shadow, and yet, we didn’t even notice it. I removed my high heels (yeah, I made the mistake of wearing those because I wanted to look my best that day) and my feet burned, I didn’t feel a thing. |

We were sweating, but there was so much joy, the presence of God was so strong, nothing physical mattered that day. This was by far the best campaign of faith I’ve ever been part of. We were so much more mindful of the things of God during those 21 days, that now that they’re over, we’re still reaping the fruits! We’re much more focused, much less distracted, a lot more watchful, and definitely way more spiritual. Let us learn the lesson shall we? Let us invest our time in the things of God - they bring the best out of us...
